The Agony in the Garden (B) 1924

The first light depicts a magnificent angel who stares at the bitter chalice before him. The main panels of the second light depict Jesus at Gethsemane in anguish during the hours before his arrest and execution. One of his disciples is portrayed sleeping beside him in a bed of flowers.
