St. Declan
The Honan Chapel of St. Finbarr, University College Cork, Western Road, Cork City. Number of Lights 1, Window: 9 Date 1916
Saint Declan is depicted wearing a patchwork cloak of gold and a silver and gold mitre. The young Ruanus is dressed in silver, pale blues, pinks and greens. Both are standing on a sea of Celtic blue spirals, and red and gold circles.
The saints are framed by tiny figures that are reminiscent of early Irish manuscript borders. In the lower panels various saints are depicted in a rocky landscape.
